Exploration
Basic Design
Basic design begins with exploration without solving
a particular problem. I went with what triggered me
at the time- sweets. The first material I studied was bubblegum. I made some sketch models that included studies by hand and some use of rapid prototyping machines. I soon came to the conclusion that patterns can morph into textures.

Applied Design
This idea took me to my applied design phase where
I looked at dynamic product cues that inform or protect the user. The examples on this site include successful attempts as well as some major disasters. Learning how to look at mistakes and the results of using an unpredictable material like bubblegum led me to the current set of patterns and materials that perform as DynamicTextures.
